Distribution Centers & Warehouses
To achieve maximum efficiency in warehousing and distribution, electrical systems must remain operational at all times. To meet this demand, Southern Power & Controls offers immediate response to disaster situations or other catastrophic failures. However, to avoid downtime altogether, Southern Power & Controls can install and integrate protective measures such as uninterruptible power supplies and diesel engine-driven power generation. Throughout a facility, Southern Power & Controls coordinates both emergency and normal operation of logistical electrical systems such as plant power distribution, material handling, truck and rail loading stations, refrigeration, lighting, and telecommunications. In addition, our work includes protective electrical systems such as closed circuit television surveillance, radioactive detection, intrusion detection, access control, and fire alarms. To ensure safety of equipment and personnel, prior to completion of a project, Southern Power & Controls oversees protective device coordination studies, arc flash evaluations, and extensive electrical testing. Moreover, we coordinate with local utility companies to confirm proper interface with new and existing equipment onsite.
